Blackout blinds are different from room darkening blinds.  Room darkening fabrics will still allow light to creep into the room either through the fabric or the gaps on the sides.  If you choose blackout blinds, you will notice the vast difference.  It can eliminate that pesky street light or the morning sun.  They are also great for turning an extra room into a movie theater setting.

Honeycomb shaped blinds is one of the most popular choices for blackout quality.  It is energy efficient using the cellular shape to control the air.  Duette blinds are available in a number of different fabrics and colours.  It can also serve as a noise barrier from outside disturbances.
